9:30a.m. on May 21st of 2014, at School of Basic Medical Science of Nanjing Medical University, Dr. Yu Yong and Maria from FEI ( www.fei.com ) gave a lecture about Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy (CLEM) technique. They discussed with listeners on the acquisition of High-speed event in living cells on Electron Microscope Slide, the shape change between Light Microscopy image and Electron Microscopy image, etc.

        14:00p.m. on May 21st of 2014, at Southeast University, Dr. Yu Yong and Maria from FEI, the leader of CLEM, had a seminar on the CLEM and one Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope: Andromeda. Andromeda is a patent product, it have advantages on Laser transmission efficiency and resolution on XY and Z axis comparing with other Spinning Disk Confocal. After the meeting, we changed our opinion on the trend of Fluorescence Microscopy technique applying on neurosciences and disease research.

May 21th, hosted by Shandong University Medical School Physiology Lab and Shandong University Microscope Platform, and co-organized by Bio-one Ltd., a lecture of correlative microscopy was given by FEI microscopy expert Maria in the meeting room of Shandong University Medical School. The lecture called “A bridge of the two worlds------From FL To Electron Microscopy” focused on the principle and application of correlative microscopy. Professors and students from the Physiology Lab and Biochemistry Lab had a warm response and actively asked questions to the speaker, coming up with new ideas of their research by the inspiration. After the lecture, Maria was invited to visit the Microscope Platform.
